OCTOBER 18th: Arrival in Istanbul
On arrival, the group will be met by a trip leader from The Portuguese Buddy. We check in and head out for a group walk and dinner to catch up and get to know each other.
DAY 19 OCTOBER: Free day in Istanbul
Today will be dedicated to getting to know the wonderful city of Istanbul, with a local guide who will explain all the details of each monument and curiosities of the city. After the tour, we’ll take a break to rest and then head for dinner on board a cruise ship, which will be accompanied by a traditional Turkish dance show. You couldn’t be more involved in the culture! (dinner included)
DAY 20 OCTOBER: Flight from Istanbul to Cappadocia
Free morning to buy some souvenirs or take another stroll around this great city. In the early afternoon we head to the airport to catch an internal flight to the famous Cappadocia. Upon arrival in Goreme and check-in at the hotel, the rest of the day is free.
OCTOBER 21: Free day in Cappadocia
The early morning is free, so for the more adventurous who want to wake up before sunrise, you can take a hot air balloon ride over the valleys of Cappadocia. At mid-morning the group will reconvene and we’ll explore all the nooks and crannies of this breathtaking area together.
OCTOBER 22: Cappadocia – Antalya
Free morning for some last sightseeing in Cappadocia and in the late morning we’ll take the bus to Antalya. It’s going to be a long journey, but don’t be discouraged, some diving awaits you in the middle of October!
DAY 23 OCTOBER: Free day in Antalya
You’ll have the day free, but a stroll through the historic center and a visit to the beaches doesn’t sound like a bad idea!
DAY 24 OCTOBER: Free day in Antalya
On this last day of your trip, you will also have the option of enjoying it as you please, however, we suggest a day trip to the town of Pamukkale. Swimming pools in white mountains? It doesn’t even look real!
DAY 25 OCTOBER: Return
At a time to be agreed – transfer to the airport and flight home.
On our trips, the meeting point is at the destination.
This way, you have the flexibility to choose the flight time that suits you best and where you want to depart from. If you need help buying flights, just contact us and we can do it for you.
Please note that you should only buy your flight tickets when the trip has been confirmed, i .e. when the minimum number of participants for the trip has been guaranteed. If you decide to sign up for the trip, you will receive an email as soon as this happens, indicating that you can now book your flights.
Booking flights is the responsibility of the travelers, although we can help you book them. If you book yourself, we’ll ask you for your booking details and arrival times.
On arrival, a member of The Portuguese Buddy will be waiting for you at the airport to take you to the rest of the group.
You can go first. However, you’ll be on your own until you meet yours. Buddy and the group at the hotel on the day the trip starts. If you wish, you can also stay for more days after the end of the trip.

We confirm the trip when all the conditions for it have been met, namely that the minimum number of travelers has been reached, as well as all the issues relating to the organization of the trip (reservations, transfers, activities…).
Confirmation usually takes place several months before the trip, but it can be up to 30 days before the date. It may happen that the trip is already confirmed when you make your booking.
If we have not reached the minimum number of travelers 30 days before the trip, we will contact you to inform you that the trip has been canceled.
If this happens, we will give registrants three options :
If the traveler cancels, the terms and conditions apply.
Portuguese nationals are currently covered by the visa on arrival program for stays of up to 30 days. All you need to show is your passport, which is valid for at least six months after the end date of your trip, and your flight tickets out of the country. The process is simple and will cost around 35€. You can pay by bank card or cash.
We have chosen accommodation that is well located in the city center and close to the main points of interest, in order to make it easier to get around as planned in the program.
In most places, we select 3 to 4-star hotels, usually with two-bedded rooms, but in some cases the group may have to share rooms. For the 2 nights spent on the boats, the group may have to share a cabin and a bathroom. If you wish, and subject to the availability of the accommodation, you can request a private single room, but this will be subject to an additional fee.
On this trip we use a wide range of means of transportation. Depending on the activity, we can use a car, van or boat.
Of course, at no extra cost! Our group is varied and everyone is welcome.
